To begin with I want to share one thing that in today’s time , without proper exposure and media blitzkrieg, a top notch restaurant like DAWAT E NAWAB, is out of the culinary trail of Agra visitors. But Team FCBA will be presenting its finer (& not so finer) points before the diners.
Dawat e Nawab is an Awadhi and Mughlai specialty restaurant located in Radisson Blu Agra. I have tried food at some of the restaurants in more than 10 Radisson Blu hotels, all across India but I found the stuff served here to be of top notch. It’s décor and ambiance too is very different from other restaurants of Radisson Blu hotels. The Ambiance was royal starting from the Marble like interiors with murals which try and emulate the ones on the Taj Mahal come out pretty good and even the dining utensils give guests a Royal feel with live Indian classical instruments playing in the dining area only adds to the ambiance. During our review , a very experienced flute player was gracing the occasion.
Their most sought after Nawabi Thali, is the talk of the town and it consists of unlimited kebabs and main course of most delicious & moth watering dishes, served with breads and desserts. However I will recommend the followings:
Gosht Paaya soup,
Murgh Malai Tikk,
Gosht Galouti Kebab,
Mushroom based tikka called Khumb aur Daliya ke kebab,
Paneer tikka masala,
Rajbhog icecream &
Above all rose kheer.
