Best place for North Indian & Mughlai food

This is our 2^nd visit to Paatra restaurant, after reviewing their another outlet/ restaurant, in the Sidharth Hotel, Rajindra place, New Delhi. I must admit at the outset of the review that food at both the PAATRA restaurants , is amazing.

The PAATRA at Jaypee Vasant Continental in Vasant Vihar is one of the most reputed North Indian restaurants in Delhi. Paatra is known for its delicious North Indian food & best kababs .The restaurant has a classy ambiance and boasts of a separate vegetarian kitchen. They also organize live music in the evenings. Speaking of the food, their menu has a fine selection of popular vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from across the country.

Each dish is amazing and mouth watering. Their food tastes flavorful and authentic. Go in for Daal, one of the best. It tastes heavenly and also must try Jhingai Lajawab, Surkh Paneer, Nalli Roganjosh, Palak Badami Kofta, Amritsari Choley, Khasta Roti and Rogani Naan and what not.

The Restaurant is coming with new menu and Team FCBA was lucky enough to taste the sample from new menu. Highlight was the presentation of the mutton biryani, inside the special clay looking pot, but which was actually a short crust dough. You cut the crust dough and here comes the mouth watering biryani. One of the best way to showcase the biryani, never seen this before (Check the picture) and also a new dish paneer pyaz. A clear winner dish.

For Desserts, do try their Gulab Jamun, stuffed with real gulkand,  superbly delicious.

The staff is excellent and knowledgeable. They explain each dish properly and always attentive to the guest’s requirement. They were very polite and courteous and should be a role model for others.

Looking forward to review their all restaurants, in all the properties, all across India, so that foodies, should be aware,  of the superb food, served, in all those restaurants.

Would look forward to visit again and try other dishes for sure.
