During my recent Jaipur food trail, I decided to check Peshawari Restaurant at ITC Rajputana, Jaipur.  I had great expectations from this place given it was a subsidiary of ITC Bukhara, Delhi. Five star hotels, as a rule, provide lovely ambience. The atmosphere is designed to make you feel like an aristocrat. Right from the magnificently grand main lobby to your seating, you tend to slip into an elated state.

We ordered their signature dishes – Dal Bukhara, Paneer Khurchan and Murg Khurchan along with their renowned Naans. Quantity served is enormous and food was palatable but did not meet my expectation fully. Their Dal bukhara is good but i find better Daal Makhni , at various locations, irrespective of ultra chick fine dining places or no fancy restaurants. Other fact is their sitting arrangement is not comfortable, they wanted their furniture to be in accordance with Peshawari cuisine but the reality is if sitting is not comfortable then you won’t enjoy even heavenly dishes. The dresses of Stewards is not authentic and need better dress designing. I may suggest to management of the restaurant, please play soft Afghani/ peshawari music in the background, to high the authentic feel.

Good food but overpriced. The main highlight is the feeling of dining at world famous restaurant.
