Saffron@JW Marriott, Juhu, Mumbai.

The Saffron restaurant located inside the most happening 5 star hotel, in the most posh locality of Juhu, Mumbai.. Generally the 5 star hotel’s restaurants are not that popular , among the connoisseur of fine dining, as the tendency of the management, is to market their hotel as the best place to stay, with out of the world amenities. And hence tend to neglect  there in house restaurants. But credit goes to the management of JW Marriott, Juhu, for running this restaurant, in such a manner, that apart from in house guests, the walk in guests are making a bee line for this superb Indian-Awadhi cuisine restaurant, led by Master Chef Shahnawaz Qureshi, from the famous Qureshi clan.

This restaurant ‘s reputation, in terms superb food, mouth watering dishes; excellent ambiance, is growing by the day, all around India and abroad. Executive Himanshu Taneja, is the main catalyst and the force behind the success of this restaurant. The restaurant has got the old world charm, it is a beautiful restaurant with live kitchen and comfortable seating.

This is the most authentic place for Awadhi cuisine. We  had Shan e Tandoor, Akbari Murgh Tikka and Galouti Kebabs for starters and all were amazing, for mains we had Nalli Nihari, Murgh Khaas Handi and Daal e Khaas, along with khameeris and assorted Indian breads and wrapped up the meal with zaffrani shahi tukda and mewe ki kheer. It was a super rich meal but totally worth, every penny spends.

With a live kitchen as a backdrop and some rustic utensils on the counter, this is every bit an earthy Indian restaurant feel. The waiters wear traditional attire and add to the charm. Food service was top  notch Excellent option for rich Indian cuisine in heart of Juhu .  Authentic recipes, delicious taste n fabulous  service . Must visit place.
