Excellent Food, WOW!
The ONE restaurant is inside the hotel meridian, which is one prime location, in Lutyen’s zone in National capital, New Delhi. It is very much centrally located hotel, within a short distance to Rashtrapati Bhavan; Parliament House, India Gate and many other heritage and historical building all around. It’s glass façade is still, still stands majestically and its interiors are even more modern and contemporary.
The ONE restaurant is all day dining and buffet restaurant. Its interiors are very aesthetically done in black and red colors and are amazingly done with a wooden floor and big windows . It is one of the most aesthetically beautiful restaurants, I have come across. The ONE restaurant’s reputation is surpassing many other big name restaurants in 5 star hotels in Delhi. I have come across many customers at this restaurant, who visit very often due to its quality of the food; ambiance and warmth of the staff.
The ONE serves both La Carte and Buffet options for the food lovers. If you are going in for La Carte, then I am sure that , you will going in for the Buffet at this place and if you had buffet then sure one day will be going in for La Carte, such is the magic of the food here. It is very addictive. Beware. Right from the soups to the starters; to the main course; to desserts, it is a magical and only word describe it all WOW!
Their Buffet is superb with the best thing being their live grills section. . The grills have prawns, fish, lamb and chicken and many vegetarian options. Then their salads and Cold cuts and many types of salads are one of the best. They have very good continental and Indian cuisine available. The ONE has wide verities of Pizzas too and are prepared fresh , in the wood fired oven. They serve excellent continental and dishes here. You name any continental dish its here and what to talk about their spread in Indian dishes, both veg. and non veg. First time I am running out of words to recommend any particular dish/s because each dish is a master piece in itself.
Apart from very lavish spread of buffet, in the main course, they have a great section for desserts. The dessert section has many of varieties and caters to both Indian & western sweets like pastries; mousse; ice creams;; rasgullas; ras malai; halwa and what not.
Now comes, the main highlight of this restaurant. Perhaps it is the only restaurant which gives you the complimentary sample shot from, in house well stocked bar. The stewards will guide you about which wine will go with which food and accordingly serve.
