Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor (Dubai)
“Fantastic Dinning Destination”
During my recent visit to Dubai, I can’t resist myself to explore the flagship restaurant of world famous chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s top class restaurant “ called Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor”.
It is situated in the Hotel Melia on the Kuwait Street, Port Rashid, Bur Dubai – Dubai – United Arab Emirates.
This is the place, if you’re looking for a good Indian food in a top-notch restaurant, you really can’t go wrong with this one. This restaurant is all about panache – the food is more innovative than traditional, the presentation is extremely interesting and the ambiance is top-notch.

As soon as you enter Signature you are greeted with warm aroma of various spices and the ambiance makes you feel relaxed.
I started with an appetizer of tandoori khumb, paneer tikka aur hari gobi – clay fired volcanic mushrooms, grilled lemony paneer, cheesy roasted broccoli florets, and a little avocado mousse (small amounts of each). The broccoli was very cheesy but not too flavourful.
The paneer though, had clearly spent time both in the tandoor and the sauteeing pan, so was crisp on the outside but soft and delicious on the inside. The mushrooms had been stuffed with Bengali spices and tamarind; they tasted very complex and hearty. The mousse was good too.
A nicely presented plate with seekh kebabs, fish, Chicken boti and spicy prawns. Everything was great. A good balance of spices and the prawns had a wicked kick of chilli! The Batter for the fish also stood out. Mains were equally impressive, served by our waiter, who went around the whole table and spooned the curries individually.. Deserts consisted of saffron ras malai, gulab jamun etc.
Main course was delicious and not oily or under seasoned (Murgh Tikka Makhani) and was one of the better ones I have had. I had jeera rice and garlic naan to accompany it – both excellent.
The service was exemplary and attentive without being too in your face. the waiting staff were all genuine and interested in ensuring my meal was great.
But overall a very good Indian dinner with very good service in a beautiful restaurant. Will definitely recommend this to friends looking for high-quality Indian food in Dubai. It’s a lovely place for a very nice, high-end dinner.
Hats off to the Executive- Corporate Chef Akshay Nayyar, for his extraordinary presentation of various dishes and the entire staff for their superb hospitality. A great experience overall, with polished service, made this a memorable visit.
Long Live Sanjeev Kapoor
Look forward to visiting you again.
