“Superb Goan Food-must visit when in GOA”
The most authentic Goan-Portuguese cuisine you could ever get. Great place for taking the family. The structure is typical Goan and it is a nice feeling to seat in the premises with wide verandah and sloping roof.
They even have an air conditioned dining hall which is ideal in the heat The Charles Sobhraj incident, and his statue, provides an added allure today. The choice of food is wide although typical of Goa depends on the catch of the day.
The preparation is authentic and good. Their Chicken Cafreal is still the best I’ve had in all of Goa. Also tried their fried Bombay Duck . It was crispy and fried just right and I would recommend it as a starter with some beer or a feni cocktail. O’Coquiero Goa’s most famous for its traditional cuisine. To be fair there are a number of other newer restaurants which serve equally good Goan food, but O’ Coqueiro remains the big daddy of them all, and if you are a first time visitor to Goa, this is a must, because you
cannot return home and say you did not visit O’ Coqueiro!
